Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother was born Elizabeth Angela Marguerite Bowes-Lyon to Claude 13th Earl of Strathmore and Kinghorne and his wife Cecilia Cavendish-Bentinck, Countess of Strathmore and Kinghorne.

As the granddaughter of King James VI of Scotland & I of England, she soon became the heir presumptive of the two kingdoms and their successor state of Great Britain when the ambition for a Protestant heir was reinforced by the Act of Settlement 1701 restricting the throne to her and her descendants. Everyone up to the grandchildren of Lord Martin Vogel, 5,750th in line to the British throne, is a direct descendant of hers either through one or more degrees.

Update and Expansion to Kew Station.

In light of the need for more information and a broader range of topics and dynasties, w e have decided to upgrade Kew Station to encompass all Electress Sophia's descendants and  her contemporaries, kinfolk, and ancestors. The primary focus shall be her and all of her descendants equally to the best of our ability and shall encompass their scope, influence, interests, and realms. The name shall continue to be Kew Station for the foreseeable future. The Most Excellent Princess Sophia Electress and Duchess of Hannover ( 14 October [ O.S.  3 October] 1630–8 June [ O.S.  28 May] 1714)
