The Early Life of HRH the Prince George William Frederick

The Early Life of HRH the Prince George William Frederick
The Prince who will later become King George III was something of an enigma. His teachers called him lazy but he was devoted to learning so that he would become a great king in the future. He studied astronomy, mathematics, Latin, Greek, French, German, as well as agriculture which became one of his favourite pastimes next to theology. His childhood was dominated by his overbearing mother's ambitions for her children and his father's confrontations with his father, King George II. Despite him not being his parents' favourite child, he was to be the next patriarch of the dynasty. This brought challenges when his brothers refused to obey his orders when he became King.

George's father, Frederick Louis Prince of Wales doted on all of his children but had trouble alternating between taking care of his family and slighting his mother and father. Once he had passed, a myriad of handwritten instructions was given to his 12-year-old son George on what he should do when he was king. Prince George followed each one to the very letter for every day of his life.

However, despite some controversies in his early reign, he became the most glorious national icon of his time for his pious and humble personality and work ethic.

This is why when some people hear the name of King George III, they do not sneer but rejoice in this good king's memory.

God Save The King!
