Prince Michael George Charles Franklin of Kent

His Royal Highness was born as the third child of George, Duke of Kent, fourth son of King George V and Queen Mary, and Princess Marina of Greece and Denmark, daughter of Prince Nicholas of Greece & Denmark and Grand Duchess Helena Vladimirovna of Russia. The Prince was educated at Eton College following Sunningdale School. Prince Michael is a first cousin to both Queen Elizabeth II via paternal lineage and the late Prince Philip via maternal lineage.


6/4/2022 is his 80th birthday and the memorial of his service to the realms of his cousin the Queen.

Victoria R (24/5/1819 - 22/1/1901) (R. 1837-1901) Queen Victoria was born on 24 May 1819 to Prince Edward, Duke of Kent and Strathearn and Princess Victoire of Saxe-Gotha, previously married to the late Prince of Leiningen by the name of Princess Alexandrina Victoria of Kent. She was born in London at the home of most of her formative years, Kensington Palace.    His Royal Highness Prince Edward, Duke of York and Albany (25 March 1739-17 September 1767) Prince Edward was the third child and second son of Frederick Louis, Prince of Wales and his wife, Princess Augusta of Saxe-Gotha. Despite being his mother's favourite, he was his older brother, the future King George's constant companion before they had a rift a few years before Edward died. He was an experienced naval officer, one of the first royal Freemasons after his father, and a most popular figure in London's society. He died in self-exile in the Princely Palace of Monaco before he was buried in Westminster Abbey with several of his relations.
